We are a non-governmental voluntary organization, committed to promote health, international solidarity and Peace. We want to work together to support the medical needs of the most vulnerable by promoting access to basic health care and medicinal facilities. We believe in social justice and health equity. We believe it is unacceptable that millions of people do not have access to essential medicines and that our communities have an opportunity and a responsibility to improve global access to public health goods.
Our goal is to be useful for others and to get a chance to participate in the service of our neighbours is very important for us. By establishing long-term relationships, we strive to synchronize efforts to address global health disparities. We cooperate with medical and academic institutions and draw on the lived experience in resource-challenged settings. Our actions include health promotion programs, network programs, sponsorship and integrated rural developmental projects.
In regelmäßigen Abständen werden Medikamente mit einreisenden freiwilligen Medizinstudierenden aus Deutschland nach Riobamba geschickt. Mit Unterstützung von Medikamentenspenden durch Aktion Medeor wird auf diese Weise die medizinische Basisversorgung der Andenbevölkerung unterstützt.
