About us

Our vision is to enable knowledge and culture exchange with the aim to inspire people around the world.

At Teachsurfing.org, People who want to share their knowledge and skills (profession, hobbies, languages) can create a personalized profile and add their skills and travel destinations. Complementary, schools, non-profit organizations, and learning centers can report their teaching needs. In this way, in case of matching interests a connection is easily made. The TeachSurfing team offers further support in organizing and reporting knowledge sharing events. Currently, the platform has 2300 users and 130 organizations from 14 countries

In May 2015, TeachSurfing established a dedicated team in Armenia. So far, TeachSurfing Armenia has organized TeachSurfing events with topics such as team building, learning languages, human rights, introdcution to ballet carreer. Travellers visiting Armenia shared their skills with 149 students in schools and organizations all over the country.

Since October 2015, the TeachSurfing team has been particularly active in Berlin and organized knowledge-exchange events between 131 refugees and locals. These events comprised Arabic and German language courses, workshops for refugee children and parents, introduction to life in Germany.
