Canal Ministries has been established as a direct response to Gods' calling of
Christian boaters who have a heart for fulltime evangelism, teaching and training
God's people in Churches and throughout the country, not always by waterways.
We make ourselves available to any Church that can use the variety of gifts
that the Lord has blessed us with. A Trust has been formed to facilitate the
payments and expenses for those who need to claim such and to provide literature for our evangelists.
Our work is mainly among those who live, work, fish, walk or visit the Inland Waterways. We are always willing to listen and offer help to Canal and River Trust staff, some of whom
face considerable trauma, whenever there are accidents and sadly, sometimes, deaths on the waterways.
Canal and River Trust have always recognized the Chaplaincy.
Our boats are specially insured to entertain Church groups, Deacons retreats, Clergy away days and visits from schools. We try to maintain a close relationship with schools through
assemblies and Religious Education lessons

To provide help to those on the waterways who need a tent or sleeping bag or are in need of food or fuel. One boater needs help with repair of his boat as it has been affected by electrolysis from a boat with a bad earth
