About us

“RAFIKI e.V. – Because friends are there for each other.” With this slogan, the association has been committed to a partnership with Tanzania since 2005, organizing exchange visits and supporting the construction and operation of KIUMAKO Secondary School in Mwika on Kilimanjaro.
The association is also increasingly involved in educational work in Tanzania and Germany. Since 2013, another activity of the association has been sending student teachers and volunteers to educational institutions in Mwika, Tanzania, and, in return, from Tanzania to educational institutions in Itzehoe and Kellinghusen, Germany.
Various small social and educational projects are being initiated in and around Mwika, particularly through the volunteers and interns.
