About us
We took our first steps in humanitarian aid in 1986 by purchasing a new X-ray machine for a hospital in Zimbabwe and portable dental equipment for a Colombian doctor. At that time, committed citizens from Central Hesse (Wetzlar and Marburg) joined forces to promote worldwide aid projects through medical technology and thus alleviate need.
And this is what we do today:
- classic emergency aid (food, medicines)
- Reconstruction (schools, health facilities)
- long-term development projects (agricultural projects, training and further education measures)
We always work with local partners who are responsible for implementation. We keep our personnel deployment to a minimum (short-term experts, project coordinators).
We are financed by donations, membership fees and grants from public donors (BMZ, Federal Foreign Office, EU) and foundations.
