Food Bank Malmesbury

About us

Food Bank Malmesbury is a non-profit-organisation operating in the poorest township of the South African town Malmesbury. Its mission: To contribute to local food security.

Every day Food Bank Malmesbury supplies people in need – preferentially children, old people and ill people. Two essential target groups are defined: People who were diagnosed with malnutrition by the local clinic and children.
All staff of the organisation works unsalaried, driven by the strong will to improve the lifes of people.

The food is prepared and given out at Ilinge Lethu Thusong Centre, a community centre in the area.
Food Bank Malmesbury depends on donations of food and money.
