INA gGmbH - ICE / YEPP IRC
managed by J. Schell
YEPP International Resource Centre (YEPP IRC) is a transnational support agency at the Institute for Community Education (ICE), International Academy (INAgGmbH) which emerged in 2012 out of the Youth Empowerment Partnership Programme (2001-2011). YEPP IRC seeks to address social challenges and to improve the lives of children and young people at risk in defined areas of social disadvantage throughout Europe. YEPP IRC is currently implementing the youth and community empowerment model "Concept of Change" in 17 YEPP Local Sites, which cover 70 marginalised communities - industrial urban and rural areas in countries like Bosnia & Herzegovina, Ireland, Italy, Finland, Germany, Slovakia and Poland. YEPP IRC’s work in these communities aims at creating cohesive communities where children and young people have a voice and equal opportunities. Intercultural and inter-generational dialogue are promoted through joint project planning and community actions, and topics of joint interest, such as partnership building, media literacy, youth advocacy and social entrepreneurship are discussed at international workshops and conferences organised by YEPP IRC. YEPP IRC has two full-time and one part-time employee and works with consultants and external experts.
