Free The Children is an international charity and educational partner that believes in a world where all children are free to achieve their fullest potential as agents of change. We work domestically through We Day and We Act to educate, engage and empower youth to become active local and global citizens. Through our holistic and sustainable development model—Adopt a Village—we work to remove barriers to education and to empower communities to break the cycle of poverty.

Due to the remarkable generosity of an incredible family, we are excited to announce that this project has been fully funded! As a result of this donation, we will be able to begin work in a brand new rural community in Kenya, Rongena. While working hand in hand with local community members we will be able to start work on projects in five different areas: education, clean water and sanitation, healthcare, alternative income and agriculture & food security. Amazing! We will also be able to break ground on the new campus and prepare to welcome our first year of students as soon as next January. This facility will be the first of its kind in the region, empowering students to dream – and achieve – a post-secondary education.
