Vision of LACIT
To serve less privileged community such as children with special needs, at-risk youths, and women in distress, destitute and old persons by creating opportunities at broad level & prepare them to be an active participant in their community.

Mission of LACIT
Creating and enabling through knowledge & issue based sustainable socio-economic interventions, with an integrated approach & active participation of stake holders that will improve their quality of life.
Is a well known non-profit & non-government organization in Nagpur, Maharashtra State, India. It aims at facilitating a process to establish a just and healthy society in which the poorest of the poor living in slums have the ability to maintain a better qualitative life with equal access to education and resources.
This would be possible through opportunities to knowledge, information, resources & participation in any decision making process. LACIT is also committed to the implementation of socio-economic development of marginalized sections of society since its inception in 2005. At present LACIT operates in Samta Nagar slum and other inaccessible areas of Nagpur city in the State of Maharashtra. In India, more than 60% of the population lives Below the Poverty Line. Our development initiative covers more than 50,000 poor, vulnerable and weaker sections of society which includes women, children, elderly, disabled, destitute, small & marginalized farmers, rural artisans and other underprivileged sections. LACIT has developed an integrated strategy by combining direct service delivery approach and development support activities like research, advocacy, networking etc.

With the help of skilled and professional staff, LACIT runs a number of programs like sustainable socio-economic development of slum communities, taking special care of child education, environment education, sexual & reproductive health education, non-formal education for the girl child, ensuring basic health needs, SHG empowerment through income generation programs, etc. LACIT’s intervention areas also extends to elderly care, support to people with disability and HIV/ AIDS, with local knowledge and resources.

LACIT is registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 (Registration No. F/21796/N) Indian Society Registration Act, XXI of 1860 (Registration No. MAH/211/06/Nagpur), Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA) of 1976 (Registration. No. 83870217), and 12 A and 80 G of Income Tax Act.
