About us
Of the estimated 2.3 million orphans; about 50% are due to HIV/AIDS. Among the many issues affecting orphans are that children who lose their parents to HIV/AIDS suffer psychological stress and trauma. In addition, parental illness and death may rob children of their inheritance and above all of parental love, care and protection. It is an established fact that children are vulnerable long before their parents die. Girls, in particular, assume caring responsibilities for ailing parents and parenting responsibilities for their siblings. With increasing food insecurity, nutritional status of children is being adversely affected.
INSPIRE INNOVATIONS,a locally registered organizations uses innovative social enterprise strategies involving children to generate income and support these children meet their basic needs while developing wealth and assets to secure their future as entrepreneurs.
The overall objective of the organization is to empower orphans and vulnerable children to overcome their current and future challenges.Specific objectives include;Train orphans and vulnerable children in entrepreneurship;Invest in innovative,affordable social enterprises run by and for children;Equip orphans and vulnerable children with life skills and to mainstream HIV/Aids and child.
We envision a society where children enjoy sustainable livelihoods and well being.
