Our goal is to beat cancer, and with every donation we will reach that goal a little sooner.
The National Center for Tumor Diseases (NCT) Heidelberg is a joint institution of the German Cancer Research Center, Heidelberg University Hospital and German Cancer Aid. The goal of the NCT is to link promising approaches from cancer research with patient care, from diagnosis through treatment, aftercare and prevention. The interdisciplinary tumor outpatient clinic is the heart of the NCT. Here, patients benefit from an individualized therapy plan, which is promptly drawn up by interdisciplinary expert panels, the so-called tumor boards. Participation in clinical trials opens up access to innovative therapies. The NCT is thus a pioneering platform for transferring new research results from the laboratory to the clinic. In addition, the NCT is distinguished by its comprehensive non-medical support and counseling services, such as nutritional counseling, social counseling or psychooncology.
