ARDAR

managed by S. Prasad

About us

ARDAR is an Indian NGO that has been working in the poor northern coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh since 1990. It seeks to build a society in which excluded communities can enjoy a life of dignity and equality. ARDAR values the participation of communities and people – including children – and works together with them towards their development. The working area is predominated by traditional fishermen, tribes and most backward communities who have been continuously exploited in their trade by middlemen and influential people in the society. This has led to deterioration in their socio-economic conditions. Lack of proper social security systems have made the life of certain groups highly vulnerable, such as working children, People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHA) and their families, single women, aged people, differently able people, injected drug users, trafficked children. ARDAR is committed to working for these groups, prioritizing the people who are most in need.
