Occularis Films is a multidisciplinary collective established in 2003 that seek the creation, production and execution of film projects with social and political content and it’s formed by artists with the conviction and need to denounce injustice through art. Its purpose is to favor intercultural communication and social dialogue through audiovisual communication in its various disciplines.
Among the work by Occularis Films in Guatemalan cinema are: La muerte de Diógenes (2004), Amorfo: te busqué (2006), & El regreso de Lencho (2012).
We have also partnered with Guatemalan and Latin American artists such as: Caja Ludica Assoc., Regina José Galindo, winner of the prestigious art Vienal in Venice, the Guatemalan poet Rosa Chavez, the Colombian Graffiti collective APC, the painting of Isabel Ruiz and choreography of Kazia Orantes.
