About us

We are a Berlin association whose goal is to enable orphans and children from poor families in Uganda to go to school.
Education means a chance to participate – to welcome destitute children in Uganda to this chance is the goal of Agandi, which means “Hail” in southern Uganda.
Thanks to our Ugandan partners, who have been trusted for many years, a reliable use of the donations for these children is guaranteed.
The children that Agandi supports come from Entebbe, a small town on Lake Victoria, 40 kilometers south of the capital Kampala. Like the whole country, Entebbe is also undergoing progressive development and there is a spirit of optimism in many places. However, there is a large class of very poor people who are in danger of falling behind due to a lack of opportunities to participate. We see education as the key to advancement. The association therefore attaches great importance to making appropriate schooling possible for destitute children.
