Foundation for Democratic Process
managed by M. Chipenzi
About us
FODEP is a civic, non-governmental organization dedicated to the promotion and strengthening of democratic governance in Zambia through election monitoring, advocacy and civic education programmes on the electoral process, local governance and human rights.
What makes us stand out among civil society organizations in Zambia is our history and our strong member base. Our organization was formed in 1992 as a successor to the Zambia Election Monitoring Coordinating Committee (ZEMCC), a consortium of civil society organizations which was formed in 1991 to monitor Zambia's first round of multi-party elections. This consortium mobilized teachers, priests and other concerned individuals as monitors. These individuals are now part of our member base of more than 7500 volunteers - a member base that allows us to activate citizens for our programmes across the nation.

Donations that cannot be used for the project
Dear donors,
when managers of a project haven't requested a payout over the course of a longer period, the German law and our terms of use provide that we (gut.org gemeinnützige AG, operator of betterplace.org) use the money for our tax-deductible purposes. The same applies to the cancellation of a project, where the manager of the project is unable to realize it.
Therefore we will use these donations for the following purposes
Thanks for your support,
