About us

Mission Statement:
The mission of the Children of God Community School is to teach Ghana’s standard elementary curriculum and vocational and life skills to children 5 years and older living in Adenta, Accra, regardless of their ability to pay tuition fees.

Values Statement:
The values of the Children of God Community School are to provide children with an environment where their learning is conscientiously guided with compassion, equity, care, love, and kindness regardless of a child’s personal situation or history.

Vision Statement:
The vision of the Children of God Community School is to build a school with a well on land we own, that offers an excellent academic program staged and supplied at appropriate levels that focuses on music instruction and computer training, and that also offers breakfast and lunch programs, and uniforms for all staff and students.


Profile:

The students who attend the Children of God Community School are from impoverished families or they are orphans who live with guardians or foster parents. Many students have already interrupted their elementary education to become street hawkers or undertake other forms of labour. Our students are impoverished but street smart.

These children need love, acceptance, safety, security, and care. They need education that focuses on literacy, numeracy, and vocational training. They need food, secure shelter, clothing, and shoes. Most especially, these children need time to be kids.

The Children of God Community School provides for the needs of these children by securing donations to fund school operations; by operating a daily hot lunch program; by providing healthcare and medicine; by providing education and life skills; by teaching love and care of self by staff who model these values.

We believe that with a secure source of financial support that we can do everything better.
