About us
Chile to Kili was conceived by 24-year old Tanzanian student and naturalist Elvis Munis. Elvis identified one of the major problems in his country: the lack of opportunity for Tanzanians to obtain the education necessary to manage their own natural resources.
This ride intends to raise $100,000 which is enough money to send 10 Tanzanian students to college and support the Conservation Research Center with a salaried position and office space for two years.
Elvis leaves from Chile on January 1, 2012. He will ride, completely unsupported, around the world for 2 years in an effort to create opportunities for his fellow Tanzanians.
