About us
The Mali Initiative is a not-for-profit network of committed individuals and organisations in Mali, Germany and Australia. We aim to provide access to quality education for children of Mali breaking the cycle of poverty.
Why Mali & Togo?
• Both countries are among the least developed in the world (UNDP Human Development Index 2025).
• More than 40% of the population are children and youth.
• Over 50% live on less than €1 per day.
• Education is considered the highest priority and the people are highly motivated to achieve lasting improvement.
Why Education?
• Many children cannot attend school – there are simply not enough.
• Some classrooms host over 100 children, sometimes up to 150.
• Most students lack desks, chairs, books, and pens.
• 7 out of 10 adults cannot read or write – one of the main reasons for extreme poverty.

Wir haben 175,50 € Spendengelder erhalten
Die Spendengelder wurden für die Hygienemaßnahmen in Mali verwendet. Es wurden Wasserspender sowie Seife gekauft und aufgestellt. Wir danken allen Unterstützern!
