About us
Sanjog (www.sanjogindia.org) is a technical resource organisation that works to build capacities of grassroots organisations in research, development and implementation in psychosocial programmes for victims of abuse, violence and exploitation and evaluation of such initiatives.
Since 2003, it works in partnership with NGOs across India, Bangladesh and Nepal, to address particularly challenging areas of programming, to research, develop programmes and implement programmes building capacities of service providers through training.
Thematic areas
1. Sex trafficking in girls in Bangladesh, India and Nepal (trans-national and domestic): prevention, protection, rescue, rehabilitation, prosecution, safe migration
2. Child prostitution, children of sex workers in red light areas: protection, prevention of stigma and access to mainstream health/ education services
3. Transnational mobility, migration and trafficking in boys between Nepal, Bangladesh and India: prevention and education on safe migration, protection of migrant children, shelter homes, repatriation and rehabilitation
4. Sexual abuse of children: girls and boys (street children, children in institutions, transgendered boys, general population)
