A Joint Effort by Franca's Friends & Family

Thank you for visiting my page at betterplace.org. Without being presumptuous ;-), instead of gifts for my birthday, I thought it would be wonderful if we could make a joint contribution to a few projects on betterplace.org.

I chose three projects: one provides books in the local language of children in Swaziland; another provides wheelchairs for needy children in Cape Town; while the last one supports an orphanage in Cape Town. I chose these projects because I think it is important to help out children in very desolate conditions. In addition, a friend of mine knows the project managers personally and has told me of the great work their organizations undertake.

This is a real and direct way of giving. I just love this concept!
