Our Mission
In many regions of Burundi, children walk 6 kilometers every day just to fetch water—often from unsafe sources. This journey takes away valuable time from school, education, and opportunities for a better future. Miles2Meals is here to change that: We are raising funds to build a rainwater collection system and shorten the long, exhausting walk for water.
How It Works:
1. Walk, Run, Hike – Every kilometer represents the daily journey children make for water.
2. Raise Awareness – Together, we highlight the urgent need for clean water.
3. Fund a Rainwater Collection System – Every step brings us closer to providing an entire school with closer access water.
Our Goal:
- Build a rainwater collection system to eliminate the 6km journey for water
- Provide clean water for an entire school
- Give children more time for school, education, and a better future
