Let's make the world a better place. Together <3
11/4/23 -> Stream Start 5.30pm CET
11/5/23 -> Stream Start 5.30pm CET
We're delighted that you want to contribute to the selected charity organizations as part of the 4Cs, the Content Creator Charity Cup.
If you'd like to donate to a specific organization, please use "#" followed by the organization's name (#WWF #UNICEF #OROVERDE #IPSO).
We kindly request not to include individual donation messages, as that would make it impossible for us to determine the intended recipient. In such cases or when no donation message is provided, the donation amount will be evenly distributed among the four organizations.

Regarding the individual donation projects (for further detail, use the links to the projects themselves):
1. WWF (#WWF)
This specific project run by WWF is a reforestation campaign, with a specific focus on the Brazilian rainforest, which has suffered greatly under the Bolsonaro government.
2. UNICEF (#UNICEF)
The UNICEF project aims to combat malnutrition and overall child deprivation in African crisis regions, particularly in South Sudan, Somalia, Ethiopia, and Nigeria. This includes food supply, access to water, sanitation, and hygiene.
3. OROVERDE (#OROVERDE)
The project by the Rainforest Protection Organization aims to plant 50,000 trees in Guatemala to reforest the heavily deforested rainforest on-site.
4. IPSO (#IPSO)
This organization's mission is to provide professional and confidential psychosocial counseling in various languages to those in need. Your donations can help us expand our network of psychosocial counselors worldwide.
As an incentive, the organization that the tournament winner has championed will receive additional support from us at Ultimate Guard.
-------------------
Tournament Structure:
On Day 1 (11/4/23), there will be a group stage in the Historic Brawl Bo1 format (to be even more precise: the "Friendly Brawl" variant). Our 24 players have been divided into 4 groups of 6 members each. They will then compete in a round-robin system to determine their rankings, and the group winners and runners-up will qualify for the Top 8 on Day 2.
Each group is playing in support of one of the 4 charity organizations, and on Day 2, the Top 8 will continue to play on behalf of these organizations.

-------------------------
Tournament structure update due to Arena issues:
In short:
Day 1 Day 1 will happen on MtG Arena
The matches will be played accordingly to the tournament pairings
If the connection bug occurs 3 times via challenging each other, we switch to the Online Queue
Wins against tournament participants will gain 2 points. / Wins against non-tournament participants 1 point
Non-tournament match has to be played for at least 3 turns in order to be viable
Tiebreakers:
#1 - direct match result
#2 - more matches vs actual group opponents played
#3 - guess question
Day 2 (Top 8)
Top priority remains Arena
If challenging on Arena is not possible, we switch to Magic Online
Bo3 standard, single-elimination
grand final will be Bo3 Bo3
For the quarterfinals, the winners of the group win the die roll
For semifinals and grand final the starting player will be determined by the charity. (the player from the group whose charity had more donations gets to decide who starts, in case 2 player from same group: group winner gets to decide)
