Heidelberg - Koblenz - Cologne
348 km in 3 consecutive days along the Neckar and Rhein river. The toughest but also prettiest route so far. Well rested, I set off on Tuesday to meet friends from my bachelors in Heidelberg. With „only“ 88 km, it was a comparably short but hot ride. A coffee, a kebab and a lot of m&m‘s later it was time to rest. Next stop: St. Goar near Koblenz. After a decent climb and a very steep decent (that made my disc brakes glow) I reached the Rhein river the next day. The panorama of the Loreley was totally worth the 130 km ride that day. On the menu for the next day: another 130 km to Cologne. I was feeling the legs but a perfect day and a decent soundtrack got me to the Kölner Dom safely. Today, I spent 99% of my day off on the couch or eating, or eating on the couch. Tomorrow, I will cycle to Olfen, my hometown, to stay with my grandma for 2 days before tackling the final stage to Amsterdam on Tuesday.
