Between April and October 2018 I'm hiking the Appalachian National Scenic Trail in the US (also known as the A.T.), a 2190 mile long (3525km) hiking trail from Georgia to Maine.
Since I'm lucky enough to have enough money, time and support to embark on such a journey, I want to use my efforts to help and give at least a little back to others that are less fortunate and to invest in Mother Nature, so that future generations may still have a chance to start similar projects.
My goal is to try to collect 1€ for every mile I plan on walking on this trail, 2190€ in total!

Dear friends,
It's been a month now, since I finished my thru-hike on the summit of Mt. Katahdin and I'm finally taking some time to write these lines to say: Thank you!
We managed to raise over 2200€, distributed to 4 different projects that I chose. I'm convinced that these funds will be well spent and help us to leave the world a better place than we found it, as Baden-Powell put it.
All of you who contributed to this cause, did not only help these organisations to do their work, but you also kept me motivated and on track to reach my goal. It was a powerful morale boost, during my time on the trail, to see the counter go up every time I had service.
I'm very happy and grateful that so many of you helped me with this project and that we could support these important causes.
