What’s it about
The story of the project
Life is tough for Nepali street dogs but imagine being a DISABLED street dog! 25,000 dogs live on the streets of the Kathmandu Valley . Sadly many of these dogs are hit by cars and left on the roadside to die. For the lucky ones who are rescued some can be NURSED back to health but for others there is no hope of recuperating fully. A partially paralysed dog can not return to their place on the street and local adoption is unlikely. INTERNATIONAL ADOPTION is the only hope for these dogs. Street Dog Care, Nepal have lovingly cared for and found homes abroad for several DISABLED street dogs. This is a tedious and expensive process. Despite the challenges, Andrea and her team make this happen. Please visit the NEWS section to watch a short video showing the work of the shelter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ff9SsBOG2k
Let's make a difference for two dogs that need our help right now! "Frida and Plum" are street dogs. They are BEST friends and both have been hit by cars and left partially paralyzed amongst the hectic traffic of Kathmandu.
We will raise MONEY each month for Frida and Plum and other DISABLED dogs at The Street Dog Care Centre. This MONEY will enable the dogs to be adopted overseas and live rich and fulfilling lives. It also makes space at The Shelter for other street dogs to receive TREATMENT.
HOW CAN YOU HELP ? Every month a much loved Aussie pet dog will undertake a difficult challenge to raise FUNDS for the DISABLED dogs at The Street Dog Care Centre. Please ENJOY the videos of our beautiful dogs participating in new challenges each month . They will try their very best to help their street dog cousins on the other side of the world. Please become a part of the the street dog care family and show your support by pledging a donation.
