A powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck Turkey and Syria, killing thousands and counting. In addition to blood donations, the local non-profit organizations and communities are also appealing for donations in kind. For fear of further aftershocks, local people are also encouraged to stay outdoors despite the freezing cold. People are in dire need right now. That's why they now need blankets, heaters, winter clothing, food packages, clean drinking water, hygiene and health items and baby food.
