Worum es geht
I am going back to the Philippines this summer and while I'm there, I plan to help out my old country.
My goal is to donate used or new school bags (back packs, reusable grocery bags, purses, etc) to the street children in the Philippines when they start school in June.
I will be taking donations of school bags from now until May 23rd, 2011. I'm leaving on the 25th. Any kind of bag would be appreciated, as many of the children use plastic bags as their school bags due to the high level of poverty.
For every 100 Filipino school children enrolled each year, 66 will complete elementary education and 42 high school. Only 14 will earn a college degree.
