Velvet Neuhaus Spendenaktion

Hi everyone! 
We’re Velvet and Carlotta. We’re both 19 years old, from Germany, and this is our first time in Sierra Leone. Over the next few weeks, we’ll be taking you along on this journey.

We’re here to learn about n’ninkie’s work, and even more importantly, to learn from the rich culture of Sierra Leone and the people, while sharing what we experience along the way.

We’re here to support n’ninkie, an organization that works alongside local communities to demonstrate the power of sustainable, community-led change.

Together with Amazonian Initiative Movement, n’ninkie invests in women-led economic opportunities while preserve the communities‘ traditions and culture without the harmful practice of female genital mutilation (FGM).

Through tailoring, village savings groups, and business training, women have access to resources and opportunities that help them strengthen their businesses, increase their financial independence, and support their families and communities.

Our goal is to raise €4,000 each to help fund this work. Every donation contributes to training, equipment, and other resources that support women in building sustainable businesses and creating lasting opportunities for themselves, their families, and future generations.

We’re excited to meet the people behind this project, learn from them, and share their stories with you. We hope you’ll follow our journey and see the real impact your support can have.
