Association of Cottage Indust of Nigerias Fundrais

ACIN  has emerged a major player in the area of Nano, Micro & Small Enterprise in manufacturer, Farmers, Animal husbandry, Value chain to agricultural commodity, Manufacturing  to redeem the lost image making Nano, Micro, Small Enterprise an informal sector.

 

ACIN has Chapter in each of the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory Abuja with locale government coordinating areas in Nigeria. Membership is open to Nano Micro & Small Enterprise a membership strength of 2000 and a 50% Women & 40% Youth with 10% Consultant & Retention rate.

Association Of Cottage Industrialists Of Nigeria, is registered by Trustee under the perpetual Succession Act Cap 98 of the Allied Maters in Corporate Affairs Commissions of Nigeria for the Development of Nano, Micro & Small Enterprise with (reg. no. CAC/IT/79862), the National Headquarters in Abuja and Regional offices in the Six geo- political Zones Subject to the Approval of the Governing council and Area office in each state of the Federation.

 

Association of Cottage Industrialists of Nigeria has been recognized by federal government as group of Nano, Micro & Small Enterprise organization and it commence operation on the 2nd of November, 2000 in Oyo State. Today we are in 36 States & FCT and we are working on that CEEP Project to Training & empowering 800 Participants (Exporters) in each local government Nationwide: we will support them with starting capital loan without Interest but we charge them 10% to 15% Management Fee for the Loan through our cooperative society for the total of 980,000 Nigerians beneficiaries before year 2027.

 

The Association has established the microfinance institute named Cottage Industrialists Microfinance Institute (Cottage Industrialists Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd) they have been operating since two years with Head office in Kano State with Corporate office in Abuja, it’s a Limited Liability Registered Cooperative Society (Cottage Industrialists Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd:- Cottage-MFI and its affiliation to Association of Non-Banking Microfinance Institution of Nigeria and National Collateral Registry under Central Bank of Nigeria, as a Micro Finance Institute, We Operate on Savings, Thrifts & Credit for all our members & the general public nationwide. 

 

Our Members are franchising our Products with ACIN Trade Mark & Logo for exportation and 12 African countries has keyed into it. The Association has started their Specimen Training Programme for 800 participants. This National Programme will be from State to State in partnership with Seakat Global Technology Resources and Cottage Industrialists Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd for them to have access to starting capital from Cottage-MFI.

 

ACIN has gain support from Standard Organization of Nigeria (SON) to give certification Approver to our member’s product with a reduced Price in the MSME Clinic, also SON/MANCAP certification.

 

With this project and our Involvements in spreading across the African countries and our Present in the Africa Standard organization Policy on accreditation of product and our impute about Nano, Micro & Small Enterprise we in-collaboration with National Action Committee on African Continental Free Trade Area in Nigeria we the Association has established the Association of Cottage Industrialists of Africa ACIA to unit all the Association of Cottage Industrialists across the Africa under one umbrella body to regulate Association and Develop policy for the growth of Nano Micro & Small Enterprise.

 

The Association have been taking to the next level based on the exportation of our locally Made Products. This will help the shipments of the products across the –Americans-African Chambers of Commerce & Industries Trade to join the Continental Free Trade Zone of the African Standard Organization.

 

Empowering household manufacturers/ farmers and encourage the women & youths to improve on their locally made products for international Standard.

 

Ø  To improve and promotes locally made products for home consumption and exportation.

Ø  To improve the capabilities of women & Youths for the purpose of achieving sustainable development and profitable production without threat to lives and property with efficiency.

 

Ø  To teach, especially the women & youths how to fish instead of giving fish, this has led us to the development of a network of Nano, Micro & Small Enterprise. 

Ø  ACIN network has become women & Youth oriented, functionally, effective, economically independent as a major player in the Nano, Micro& Small Enterprise with a specific focus on the transformation from an informal Sector to a formal Productive Sector.

 

1.        To create a socio-industrial economic system that will promote Nigeria Made Products with aims of improving the Economy.

2.       To modernise Cottage Industries and transform the rural lives 

3.       To serve as innovator and pace setter in production practices.

4.       To serve as training ground for Economic & capacity development.

5.         To improve the competitive position of small-scale producers.

6.       To build an Industrial Market in each State and organise an International Marketing Plan as outlet for members.

7.       To assist in Exportation of members products in between the African Countries and rest of the whole world.

8.       To corporate and support with Federal, State and Local Government in all areas in generating revenue to the Government and the Association.

9.       To look into the challenges that is associated with the Members industrial activities and so as to proffer solutions.

10.      To enable and enlarge the members work towards the progress of the Association.

11.      To establish and maintain an Association for exchanging ideas and techniques on issues relevant to developing Nano Micro & Small Enterprise.

12.      To establish contact with the government, its institutions, and other non-governmental organizations to advance and promote Nano Micro & Small Enterprise at all levels.

13.      To contact, consult, confer and cooperate with foreign agencies, institutions, and organizations within and outside Nigeria to enhance the growth and development of the Nano Micro & Small Enterprise in Nigeria.

14.      To source, provide and facilitate equity/credit delivery Nano Micro & Small Enterprise.

15. To Promote development and business education programs at the grassroots through organized seminars, symposia, workshops, lectures, trade fairs, debates and other public enlightenment programs.

16. To contact, consult, confer and co-operate with organizations and persons in Nigeria or elsewhere having objects in parts or whole similar to those of the association.

17. To engage in policy advocacy programs and other activities conducive to promoting and advancing sustainable income generation at the grassroots level.
