Worum es geht
Wander for Women.
As of July 2023 I will be traveling to MT Everest Base Camp while fundraising donations to support women and girls in Afghanistan.
Please follow me on my long journey walking, driving, maybe biking through Eastern Europe, the Greater Caucasus in winter, the desert of Uzbekistan, along the Karakorum Highway, crossing the world‘s highest border between Pakistan and China, walking through Southern Nepal while increasing heights, and, finally, reaching the Himalayas.
Women in Afghanistan are suffering since the takeover of the Taliban. Nowadays women`s rights in the country are very limited. They may not go to school, it is them forbidden to leave their homes on their owns and women’s rights activists are threatend and tortured. Due to other crises during the last years, many of us somehow seem to have forgotten the situation of women and girls in Afghanistan.
Let us not forget.
Let us give hope.
Let us choose equality over misogyny.
