Worum es geht

We hope that you will join us in this effort to make a difference and help those in need, however you find suitable. We always believe we are safe, and tragedy will always hit far away, somewhere else. But tragedy can happen anywhere, anytime, to all of us.
We want to help those in need. We have chosen two projects we believe in. You can contribute to either of them.
- Emergency help on ground for those who are always the most vulnerable, children, by Save the Children.
- Sustainably help female small business owners get back on their feet and provide for their families.

Neuigkeiten

This is the story of Salih Karagöz, our colleague, who was there when it happened.

Caresyntax Team hat diese Neuigkeit am 13. März 2023 veröffentlicht.

Two earthquakes with magnitude 7.6 and 7.7 occurred in southern Turkey and Syria on February 6, 2023. At the beginning of February, I went to the region to visit my parents. I felt an earthquake and woke up suddenly while I was sleeping in the middle of the night. The earthquake lasted for a very long time and I was very scared and felt very helpless during that time. We left the building with my mother and father when the earthquake ended. There were about 20 centimeters of snow outside. It was cold and snowing all the time. We got in my car and drove to a quiet place and waited. There was another, more severe earthquake during the day. It was almost like an apocalypse. It was very difficult to even stand outside. There were continuous high-intensity aftershocks throughout the day. I started to think it will never end until it kills us. We couldn't go out of town by car because the gas stations had stopped giving fuel. We waited in the car all night and my relative brought us fuel from another city, in this way we could leave the area. I didn't feel my knees for two days. I was not under the rubble and the building I was in did not collapse. But not everyone was as lucky as we were. According to official authorities, 50 thousand people from 10 different cities lost their lives. I can't imagine what those in worse situations went through. I started to feel bad at the slightest sound and shake, even though I was outside and in a safe place. I cannot imagine what people have been through in past and current disasters like wars and genocides. My heart goes out to those around the world who have suffered from natural and human-caused disasters in the past and now. All my colleagues who knew me asked me if I was okay on the same day. It's really nice to work with such understanding people. Together we will make the world a better place. With peace and love
