Mute for Charity

 

Everybody forgets to unmute their microphone before talking in a meeting every now and then (or unmute in hybrid meetings to create a wonderful echo), and we are going to convert a nuisance into a force for good - for every forgotten unmute or unwanted unmute in hybrid meetings, colleagues are encouraged to provide a donation to Medicins Sans Frontiers - an organization that literally sits at the frontlines and goes where no one else is willing to go.

It's obviously voluntary and we've agreed on 1€ for every mute but feel free to donate more if you want!

What MSF stands for, in their own words:

"to provide medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, or exclusion from healthcare. Our teams are made up of tens of thousands of health professionals, logistic and administrative staff - most of them hired locally. Our actions are guided by medical ethics and the principles of impartiality, independence and neutrality."
