My story, my voice when I am gone.

Hello,

Thank you for looking at my appeal for donations.

My name is Marcel Cardinal, I am 38 years old and have been diagnosed with terminal lung cancer last year.
But first and foremost, I am a husband and dad of a 2.5 year old son.

As you can imagine, I keep asking myself what I would like to leave my son with.
How much can he even remember his papa at his very young age?
What options are there for me to stay alive for him?

Then I found out about the Familienhörbuch gGmbH (social audiobook project) and was immediately enthusiastic about the idea of ​​recording my own story as an audio book with my own voice for my son.

The Familienhörbuch gGmbH provides the production of audiobooks free of charge to seriously ill parents of young children.  Financing is done exclusively through donations.  Despite the numerous volunteers, around 100 working hours are required per audio book and it costs around EUR 5,000.

 With this Appeal for donations, I would like to support the project and enable many parents who are also confronted with a life-shortening diagnosis to receive such an audio book.
