12 trail marathons for 12.000 bucks

Perhaps compassion sometimes isn´t enough. I care about the horrible fate of the people who, out of existential need and the hope for a humane life, embark on the life-threatening journey across the Mediterranean. Many lose their lives in the process, including children. I admire the humanitarian commitment of "Sea-Watch e.V." and "Ärzte ohne Grenzen/Medecins sans frontieres" in that matter and would like to support their work with my energy and this fundraising campaign. For this purpose, starting in May 2021, I will run a trail marathon every month for one year in my backyard, the Western Algarve, Portugal, with at least 42.195 km and plenty of elevation gain.
