We sweat, you donate, cancer patients get support

Hello everybody!

Me an my team we are competing in the Battle Cancer Berlin (https://www.battlecancer.com/berlin-city-league). This sport event has the aim to create awareness for the cause and support diverse Cancer Organisations in different countries. Besides sweating a lot to win this competition, we have the challenge to raise as much money as possible - and that's why we are here asking for your support :)

We’ve chosen to support “Finanzielle Unterstützung bei Krebs: unser Härtefonds” by Stiftung Deutsche Krebshilfe. Both Stiftung Deutsche Krebshilfe and my team will thank you for your contribution - every donation counts!

About the project:
Those who get cancer often have to experience a financial emergency coming along with the disease. The health insurance pays around 70 percent of the last monthly salary as sickness benefit in Germany. Those who earn little or have to support a family can quickly find themselves in a difficult situation. In such cases the hardship fund of the German Cancer Aid helps.
 
Established in 1976 by Mildred Scheel, the hardship fund supports people who are in dire need due to cancer. The one-time financial support is between 400 and a maximum of 800 euros.
