"I Charge You to Defend the Young and Innocent."

We are raising money for a counselling service for victims of  forced child marriages and abductions, created by Sibel Kekilli (who played Shae on Game of Thrones) and endorsed by the novelist George R.R. Martin. This is part of the vow that a man must swear to become a knight in the fictional land of Westeros:

"I Charge You to Defend the Young and Innocent."

It is a world built in the novels that inspired the HBO show 'Game of Thrones'. Often the stories in that world grimly contrast the conduct of those knights compared with the oaths they swore. In the real world, those in despair have the option for help and advice to empower them, rather than waiting to be saved by a knight in shining armor. This is what your donation will pay to continue and extend.

The novelist George R.R. Martin advocates more eloquently for Sibels charity than I can so I will quote him liberally, because he is a pro.

   Sibel Kekilli is a true hero. She has worked for years for Terre des Femmes, fighting violence against women all around the world.

   Now Sibel has a new venture: working with PAPATYA to rescue girls (from the ages of 13 to 21) threatened with forced child marriages and abductions.  Sibel has recently used her own funds to buy computers for the girls.   She’s also lent her support to an on-line counseling site, SIBEL ( named after her character from HEAD-ON) to offer advice and help to those who need it."
