SAL runs for disadvantaged kids in Hamburg

 To continue a fine tradition, a group of SAL and Harren & Partner colleagues registered a total of five Relay Teams for the upcoming Hamburg Marathon on 28th April 2019. Besides pursuing the goal of becoming fit and healthy, they would also like to take the opportunity to collect donations for the “Ein Platz für Kinder” foundation in Hamburg. 

"Ein Platz für Kinder" and the institution Mattisburg is a caring facility for abused and traumatized kids between 3 and 12 years. 

At home the children were severely neglected. Too little exercise, too much media consumption, and an unbalanced diet were the order of the day. A visit to the playground or a trip on a bicycle is not known to most of them. Through exercise, the children learn about self-awareness, their abilities, and how to do self-assessments, thus developing the conditions for self-confidence. The children are being transferred to this institution by the youth welfare office, because due to their past they cannot be adequately cared for in foster care or children's homes. Often they cannot talk about what happened. 

“Ein Platz for Kinder” are looking for support to buy outdoor toys and bicycles for the children. We are happy to donate to this good cause.
