Healing Through Art

Please donate to my new passion, working with children in the community of Capricorn (Vrygrond), a small township situated in the south of Cape Town. Vrygrond is a vibrant, diverse community; Vrygrond is a small community but overcrowded. The people are full of life, culture and laughter.

In the mist of that diverse beauty, there are also lots of challenges such as substance abuse, informal housing, school dropouts, teenage pregnancy, abuse, HIV and AIDS, single-parent families, unemployment, gangs, and violence in general. Due to these saddening challenges, most people live in poverty and children grow up with limited resources needed to succeed and became fully developed in every aspect of life.

The children in this community needs to be neutered, healing and have the same opportunities
The Butterfly Art Project, a non Profit organisation, facilitates a process of creativity and healing through Art. The BAP has been in existence for 5 years and has successfully worked with children coming from the Capricorn Primary School - the only school in this community.
