Team Asha 2014 - Running For Education

Hello there!

Under the motto "We run. They learn", we are running the 2014 Frankfurt Marathon to raise funds for the Concern for Humanity project in South Delhi, which operates learning centers in the slums of South Delhi (India). These centers offer remedial learning classes for the children, who drop out of school as their parents migrate in search of work.

The dreams, aspirations of these children rest upon education - that is their only hope to rise above the poverty, discrimination, and exploitation that these young, innocent lives are often subjected to. Through education only is there hope to turn these children into progressive agents of change on critical socio-economic challenges like gender equality, religious tolerance, sustainable development, and climate change.

PLEASE SUPPORT US IN THIS CAUSE! Even the smallest effort will contribute to the tide of change we wish to effect in India through education.

The funds will be routed to the project through the Frankfurt chapter of Asha for Education. Asha for Education is a secular and non-profit organization dedicated to change in India by focusing on basic education in the belief that education is a critical requisite for socio-economic change.
