BACKGROUND:
The club "Hilfe für Kwale District e.V." (Help for Kwale District) was founded on April, 4th 2008. Our common wish is to support facilities which are not receiving money from other clubs or persons.

EDUCATION:
The Pengo Bwagamoyo Nursery School can be found in Pengo village which has no road access. The next Primary School is about 6 km away. Much too far for children younger than 8 years. The school is kept up hardly by the childrens parents.

Our medium term goal is to enable the about 200 children going to school in Pengo village.

With our unexpected support we gave courage to the people. Parents and teachers founded a school-committee which will be responsible for planing and managing the school.

Our goal is to build at least 2 classrooms and furnish them. Also we want to buy teaching- and learning-materials as well as toys for the young children.

One next point is the organization of school lunch. This should be done by the parents themselves with our support.

HEALTH:
The well-being of their patients is the most important goal for the team of Kwale Subdistrict Hospital. Hygiene is been taken serious.

Unfortunately there is always a lack of elementary things.

It is quiet normal that a sick person cannot be treated because there is no money for blood preservation, there is a lack of pharmaceuticals or the ambulance cannot be used due to the lack of money for buying fuel.

We want to assist the team and their patients with vital "small" things. A small rubber tube can save a life. The monthly needed insulin for one person costs about 10€ a blood bottle about 20€. And instruments which are no more used by our doctors are requested very much in Kenya.
