Dringend benötigt werden Schutzmasken für Personal und Patienten. Vor allem mangelt es bei den Patienten an Sauerstoff. Die Anschaffung von Sauerstoff-Konzentratoren ist daher Schwerpunkt unserer Aktion.

Das Siddhi Memorial Hospital in Bhaktapur kümmert sich in besonderer Weise um die Ärmsten in Nepal. Mobile Gesundheitsteams führen im Umland kostenlose Untersuchungen durch und versorgen die Patienten medizinisch. Das Hospital hat eine eigene Geburtsklinik und ein angeschlossenes Altersheim.
Die Lebenssituation hat sich jetzt in Nepal coronabedingt dramatisch zugespitzt. Es mangelt an allem, vor allem an Sauerstoffgeräten, an Schutzmasken und Testmöglichkeiten. Das Land ist nicht im Fokus der Weltöffentlichkeit, so ist es auf Hilfen vieler Organisationen angewiesen. Viele Menschen sind verzweifelt. Die Himal Initiative Deutschland unterstützt das Hospital seit dem großen Erdbeben 2015.
