Aguacero Tecnología y Salud Comunitaria AC (Aguacero) is a non-profit association founded in 2012 in Chiapas, Mexico, to support the organised and most disadvantaged communities in their universal right to access to water and integral health. The association is made up of activists who have been working for more than 25 years to improve the living conditions of local people, including through the installation of potable water systems, solar panels, ecological cooking stoves, dry toilets, technical training and health courses in Zapatista communities and other communities in resistance.
In order to get to the communities, some of them very remote and difficult to reach, and to transport the necessary materials, Aguacero needs a functioning pickup truck. Their current vehicle is no longer fit for use.
Donations are urgently needed to purchase a new (or newer) pickup truck so that the work of solidarity in the communities can continue as soon as possible.
