    Nourish is happy to be able to work with and support the Association of Friends of AIDS Victims’ Orphans (AACOSIDA ). AACOSIDA is a charity institution based in the Matola province of Mozambique just outside Maputo. It was created in 2002, with the aim of helping HIV infected children and HIV victims’ orphans. While AACOSIDA was started by one man with a passion and vision – the need is unfortunately almost overwhelming and numbers have grown. AACOSIDA now has 2,059 orphan children, whose parents died of HIV/ AIDS. They have managed to successfully place 75% of these children in loving foster homes with substitute families in the areas of Maputo and Gaza province while others have been placed with relatives. AACOSIDA provides support for these families through food donations, school materials and clothes. AACOSIDA does not solicit donations, but relies solely on people seeing a need and seeking to meet it. Nourish has taken on the role of facilitator, working with AACOSIDA to acquire necessary items for the orphans. It is a privilege to work with a project making such a difference in the lives of so many. AACOSIDA is in need of assistance to finish the building of their resource center. While IBR roofing is not expensive, it is a large sum for this rural initiative to try to raise on its own.
