EVERY CONTRIBUTION COUNTS AND MAKES A DIFFERENCE
In the world's poorest countries, a pacemaker or defibrillator costs patients between $ 3,000 and $ 25,000. These astronomical sums, however, can only be paid by the wealthiest people. Almost all Venezuelans depend on our support, because you have to work for more than 1,100 months in order to be able to pay a pacemaker at a statutory minimum wage of € 5, - per month = € 60, - per year. Without all our common help, the waiting list will turn to death lists and a great many people will DIE
Data from the University of Michigan show that every year one to two million people worldwide die from lack of access to pacemakers and defibrillators. According to the Science Daily, up to one million people around the world succumb to overly slow heart rates each year.
The gift of life is beautiful
Our immediate goal is therefore to provide people living in poor conditions access to new and used pacemaker defibrillators. In this way, millions of lives can be saved. Every day we bury or cremate the deceased with pacemakers or we dispose of used equipment with sufficient battery power as hazardous waste, although these can still give life.
DONATE A PACEMAKER TODAY
Our goal is to work with both hospitals and people who want to donate their devices. Any person with a pacemaker or defibrillator can prevent the death of a person if he releases his device for further use after the onset of emergency by infection of the implantation, therapy change or death. This can be done by the consent of the patient on a living will or by a patient representative.
