About this project
The project started in 2010 in the Palpa district of West Nepal with a commitment to the development of three schools and has now been extended to five schools. The activities include refurbishment, construction of toilets, provision of clean water and medical aid, afternoon meals, equipping classrooms with teaching and learning resources, appointment and training of teachers and linking each project school in Nepal with one in the UK for promoting cultural exchanges and global citizenship.
Within the next year we aim to:
•Extend the scope of the project to 16 schools, providing quality infrastructure, resources and trained teachers at all schools.
•Develop basic services such as health, environment, medical care and drinking water supplies so as to facilitate school attendance and improve student performance.
•Motivate and engage local community through links with UK schools and UK Nepalese restaurants towards the ultimate goal of running a sustainable school in their community.
