We are an Animal Rescue organization (Murka Katzenhilfe Russland e.V.) working with a Shelter located in the town of St. Petersburg, Russia. Here, it gets extremely cold every winter, and we have cats brought in every day with various health problems. Stray cats are a normal thing here, and usually people don’t care about their fate - but some do. So many cats have already found a loving home thanks to our main woman, Natalia Avlasevich, and her helpers! They work all day, they have families, and still their heart beats for those poor animals, thrown out, unwanted and uncared for. That was the reason Cute survived. This beautiful smoke gray cat was found in the south Russian city of Kislovodsk - missing both of his hind legs, cut off by a tramway. The stumps had started to rot, and he couldn’t walk - he just kept screaming and calling out for days, hoping someone would look at him. Finally, someone took him to the vet to release him from his pain. Natalia learned about it and asked him to be brought to her. His legs and tail were amputated - he was in huge pain but he showed how strong his will to live was. Natalia just couldn’t give him up. Sadly, that was not the end of it. The next day, a 80 year old women came ringing at the door of the shelter - she had found a kitten on the streets, with legs just hanging on to the skin. All of her bones were broken, a part of her lip was ripped out. Natalia had to decide - should she try saving her or would it be better to just put her down? But the kitten cleaned what was left of her legs and started licking the hands of her saviors. She now has a name - Beauty, since it can be found in unlikely places. Her legs were amputated, she only has one left. They are both trying to crawl, but it does not seem to work just yet - they both don’t have anything left from the amputated legs.THIS IS WHERE WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!The only way these two can be like normal, happy, walking cats are prosthetic legs after the principle of the British vet Noel Fitzpatrick who operated the cat seen on the third picture. But the shelter has many expenses - rent, cat food and payment for the workers have to be paid, there is no big sum for such an operation. Please help these two creatures of god to walk again! They deserve a good life. Thank you.
