    About this project

Emily H. from Kolpingwerk Deutschland gGmbH is responsible for this project
    Hello,

My name is Emily and I am 18 years old. I'm going to school and doing my A-Levels until july. After graduating from school I would like to do a volunteer service in Thailand at the Skills 4 Life Foundation.

Skills 4 Life gives orphaned teenagers the chance of a further education and supports them at finding a job. There they learn different skills  which will help them to later provide for themselves and their families. Skills 4 Life accommodates 27 students currently. The goal is to break the cycle of poverty in Thailand.

    My tasks will be:

    • tutoring the students in English
    • helping with the communication between german and english speaking sponsors
    • helping with the bakery project
    • documenting the activities of the foundation
    • supporting foundation's social media presence

Weltwärts is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The ministry assumes up to 75 per cent of the costs for volunteer service.  At least 25 per cent of the costs must be covered by the German sending organisation.  The volunteers can support their sending organisation in the funding of the volunteer service by collecting donations. 100% of your donations go to "Kolping JGD". With your donation you make joint intercultural learning for young people possible.
