¡Hola!
For a long time now I have been wanting to really
do something for the conversation of our environment... I mean, renouncing meat, always taking your bike instead of your car and seperating waste is great but I wanted to actively help conserve our nature!
Therefore, I have applied for a volunteering program in Germany called 'weltwärts' (roughly that can be translated into 'out into the world') and got accepted!
The project I will work for is located in the
Fundación Metropolitano Parque La Libertad which is a botanic garden in
San José, Costa Rica. My tasks will include doing workshops about the sustainable use of ressources and the like.
Additionally, the park wants to give children and teenagers the chance for a cultural exchange and offers music shows and artistic workshops.
Even though Costa Rica comprises only 0,00034 % of the world's surface (yes, I calculated that), it contains about 6% of all the world's animal and plant species! I think, it is crucially important to preserve these...
Since the project is promoted by the
Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (department for economic cooperation and development) about 75% of the costs will be covered.
For 25%, however, I rely on people like you to contribute a small amount to make this project possible!
That's why I am asking you to support me - it does not have to be a lot, I am grateful for everything!
Thank you!
Yours,
LInda
