Medical care for children in Hudaydah suffering from acute malnutrition

17 million people in Yemen are at risk of malnutrition.  2.2 million children alone are acutely malnourished - an alarming number!  In the case of malnutrition, there is a risk of permanent developmental delays, the immune system is also massively weakened, and the children are more susceptible to infections and diseases.

 The port city of Hudaydah and surrounding areas are the areas where most children suffer from malnutrition.  Therefore, with your help, the association Kinder Yemens in Not e.V. will give the children suffering from malnutrition a chance of survival by providing ready-to-eat food.  The emergency food contains fortified milk powder and all the necessary nutrients to ward off deficiency symptoms so that the child can gain weight again.  This ready-to-eat food has a long shelf life and requires no further preparation.  In order to avoid life-threatening relapses, we accompany the children via the med.  treatment.  The association provides monthly food baskets for the families and thus also ensures a daily meal for the siblings.
