The donations will help energypedia remain as a free open knowledge platform providing information about renewable energy and energy efficiency issues in developing countries. Through this platform energypedia strives to create the right environment and provide the right tools for stakeholders engaged in the energy sector to collaborate, create and share knowledge and practical experience. On energypedia.info any registered user can easily create, modify and share content. Our users include energy practitioners, experts, academics and other interested stakeholders.

Energypedia constantly innovates in order to create useful content for its users. For this reason, it has constant new needs. The latest additions to the energypedia platform are the ACCESS database and the Landscape portal.

Together with the ACCESS Coalition (the Alliance of Civil Society Organisations for Clean Energy Access), energypedia creates a database for all members to show off their expertise and to enhance communication possibilities among all members and non-members. The database on energypedia gives an overview of all CSO of the ACCESS coalition and their specific strength. The map will show a pin for every CSO (headquarter) and the overview table makes it easy to identify all other organisations active in a similar field in order to enhance cooperation possibilities among all members.

Together with the Global Landscapes Forum (GLF), energypedia established the „Landscape Portal“. The GLF is a movement that puts communities first in addressing landscape-level issues, rooted in the framework of the Landscape Approach
The portal on energypedia helps to bring relevant energy issues into the discussions and give the GLF stakeholders the chance to interact and communicate via energypedia shaping the conversation on sustainable energy and landscape issues.
